About This Project

It's Christmas Toy Time!!!  This holiday season Goodwill Globetrotting is helping to bring a joyful Christmas to Austin area children who truly need one. Together with Furaha House: African Family Center, we are organizing a toy drive to benefit African refugee and immigrant children in the Austin area. Please help us collect toys and other gifts for kids who might otherwise go without anything on Christmas. We will be setting up donation boxes all over town in hopes of receiving donations of new or gently used toys for children ages 1 - 14. In addition to toys, we welcome donations of pretty much anything a child can use and also any donations of small boxes (shoe), wrapping paper, and other gift decorating supplies. Please contact us for further gift suggestions or to find a donation point near you. Please contact us for our home office address if you prefer to mail your gifts.

Why This Project

Many of these children have spent huge portions of or even their entire lives in refugee camps and have never known a Merry Christmas. This is an easy way to give something back this holiday season and help children who have lived through trauma to feel like a kid again! We can use any and all support you are willing to offer for this toy drive. Thanks for your supprt and Happy Holidays!

Additional Info

For those of you who would love to share in the spirit of giving but don't live in the Austin area, we have created a wishlist on Amazon so that you can participate. Just visit the wishlist and pick out a toy that you would like to give one of the refugee children. For your convenience, it's already set up for all toys to be sent to our head office so you don't have to bother with address information.
